What Time Does My Feeder Follow When I Travel Abroad?

Wondering how your pet feeder keeps time when you’re traveling internationally? You’re not alone!

Let’s clear up the confusion.

How the Feeder Keeps Time

Your feeder follows the system time of your phone at the moment it was paired.
For example:
If you’re in Poland but your phone is set to Singapore time when you pair the feeder, the feeder will follow Singapore time for all scheduled feedings—even if you’re physically in Poland.

How to Change the Feeder’s Time

Want the feeder to follow a different time zone? You’ll need to:

  1. Unpair the feeder.
  2. Change your phone’s system time to the desired time zone.
  3. Pair the feeder again.

Only then will the feeder follow the new time setting.

Real-Life Example

Let’s say you:

  • Paired your feeder in Poland, with your phone set to Poland time.
  • Set feeding times at 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
  • Then you travel to Singapore, and your phone switches to Singapore time.
  • You add a new feeding time at 11:30 AM inside the app.

Important: The feeder will execute this new schedule based on Poland time, not Singapore time.

The feeder doesn’t automatically update to your current time zone. It sticks with the time zone from your initial pairing. To update it, you’ll need to re-pair the device using the correct system time.
